CASE STUDY: Importation of methamphetamine

Accused of being involved in the movement of almost $13 million worth of meth oil, our client was facing life in prison.

KK Lawyers were able to convince the court that there was insufficient evidence to prove that the accused knew that the contents of the drums found in his car contained an illegal substance.

He was found not guilty of all four charges relating to the commercial supply of a prohibited drug.

Over many years Kiki Kyriacou has consistently secured section 10 dismissals for person’s charged with possession of small quantity of prohibited drugs. This means that whilst the offence was proven, the Court would not record a conviction. This has allowed people to continue with their employment and their entitlements to travel abroad. A criminal conviction of even a minor drug matter can have serious consequences impacting upon aspects of daily life.
